INSPIRATION
Ålesund
Ålesund is known around the world for its distinctive Art Nouveau architecture and dramatic location between the sea, mountains and fjords. This combination of architecture, history and nature has been an important source of inspiration for Aksla Jubileum.
The watch has an elegant look with clear vintage references, combined with details that connect the design to Von Doren’s roots in Sunnmøre.

Engraved on the case back is a motif of Brosundet in Ålesund. Brosundet runs through the heart of the city and is one of Ålesund’s most distinctive landmarks, surrounded by the historic buildings the city is known for.
The engraving makes the case back more than just a decorative detail. It tells the story of where it all began—and connects Aksla Jubileum directly to the city that inspired both the watch and the man behind Von Doren.
